The project was a 9,200 square foot new build development located in Cheshire. Two key themes throughout the build were slate and dark wood pannelling, located where appropriate to tie the overall concept together creating vibrance, variety and uniqueness in harmonious balance. The total area was relatively evenly distributed over four floors involving large lower ground floor and attic space. The whole house was to pivot around the impressive central staircase that was designed, along with the surrounding communal space, in such a way to act as a binding spine running through the central core of the house. Here we offered the full internal design package from room layouts and square footage proportions to the soft furnishings and everything in-between. Every aspect of design was incorporated including the audio & visual and lighting design which utilised Control 4 and Lutron systems respectively.
As well as the more obvious spaces that you would expect from most homes, such as the reception hall, lounge areas, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms, the more unusual and truly fun part of the design package was in the lower ground floor. Here we had 3,000 square feet to proportion to a variety of entertaining areas resulting in a fully equipped and functioning bar area; 10 seater dedicated home cinema with individual automated armchairs; a fully equipped gym with shower and steam room; a large entertaining room which linked to the bar and spilled out onto the outdoor terrace. Once outside, the terrace contained its own outdoor bar area with outdoor TV and automated canopy creating protection from sun and rain over a 60 feet width. Other key areas to the property are the 1,000 square foot master suite complete with his and hers dressing room and exquisite master bathroom.
